William from North Carolina gets the big fish for the past week and the lone keeper salmon.
the action at Shilshole has slowed the past two days, but there are some very nice size fish to be had.
the wind and weather have not helped the past few days either.
there are some more Blackmouth at Jefferson Head and Kingston, but they seem to be smaller on average.

Note the gills on the fish as we had to wrestle a seal for both of these fish and both fish were being held by their gill area as I think the seal was about to bite them in two.
Lucky for us the seal let go after receiving the loud message from us “Bang”.

Blackmouth were biting and Jack Baker family landed 3 very nice ones while fishing shilshole area today.
Top producing lure today was tomic plug fished right on bottom in 140 to 180 feet of water.
Best bite was 8:30 to 10AM from 1 hour to 2.5 hours after the tide change.

Area 10 remains open thru January.

Converts to selective Chinook rules as of December 1.

Limit is 2 Chinook, that must be fin clipped and over 22 inches.

“Christmas fishing yeah yeah”

I fished today (Sunday) with a long time friend out of Seattle, and yes it was my day off but it has been so good for me this last week I couldn’t pass it up. Mike and I both went home with two very nice Blackmouth one at 11.7 lbs and the other at 7.8 lbs. That’s what is all about fishing for the fun with a good friend.

testimonial from other day
Gary:
Thank you again for a great day on the water today.  We all had a great time and appreciate your efforts finding the salmon and the time on the Morning Star…
I was glad to see how you have your boat rigged and your style of fishing.  Fishing own my own it is hard to get new ideas.  Your boat is very efficient and well laid out.  I look forward to another trip out with you, perhaps next summer.  Thanks again.

Doug
